I was traveling about Stormwind yesterday on my home server when I came across a Hunter look that caught my attention.
I whispered Mairwenn to compliment the outfit, and she commented on the fact it was mostly the Felscale armor (chest, gloves, pants, and boots). Obviously those portions go together well, but I liked the Calcified Web Spaulders and Mail Combat Headguard to compliment it. Also, the Heavy Scorpid Belt has always been a personal favourite of mine for accenting outfits. It’s a simple piece and the design looks good with most things. The overall look here is tribal but effective. I asked her to draw her bow just to see the full look. I’ll admit, I was a bit surprised to see the Drakkari Hunting Bow. It fits the theme, but I just expected something darker. This was a pleasant surprise, as it fits the look but is also such a contrast that once drawn it stands out perfectly.
It was nice to chat with Mairwenn, as our server’s kind of gone downhill. As she said “it’s nice to have someone say something nice for a change.” It’s unfortunate that it’s come to that, where the negative outweight the positive, but it’s an honest assessment just the same. As we got to talking even more, I discovered she reads this blog! That was a very pleasant surprise (and as I told her, quite humbling).

Sometimes the stars line up like that and we can throw an outfit together quickly. I managed to do that with one of Liouxpold’s once. That had more to do with AH items than anything else, to be honest.
