Over the weekend I was struck with an epiphany. Raids are now all drawn to the same realm as the raid leader. The problem with Grim Batol and Vault of Archavon was that you couldn’t go on different realms. It made sense, because determining whether all servers in your raid had factional control of the required region would be tricky. However, with everyone now on the same server that issue would be solved. Right?
Right?
Yeah, no.
Just because you’re technically on the same server doesn’t mean you’re from the same server. Unfortunately, that means both raids are still off limits. Arvash shared my disappointment in this discovery -which I have to thank Matty for taking the time to help me in finding out the truth vs. my hypothesis.
(*spoiler alert*)
So what does this all have to do with Rhonin? Well, once Matty and I confirmed we couldn’t get into VoA, I took the portal back to Violet Citadel. I ran down the steps, past Rhonin and his wife Vereesa. Then I stopped in my tracks and went back and took the picture. In theory, we won’t be seeing that anymore. Rhonin sacrificed himself in Tides of War and as we know, Jaina has taken over leadership of the Kirin Tor. All this came to me as I passed by and for a character I didn’t know a whole lot about, I was disheartened at the idea. I suppose that’s the real reason I snapped the picture.
