Behold, Nightwing

 

Not realizing I was probably eligible a week ago, I picked up my Recruit-A-Friend mount this morning.  I can’t speak for all, but I’m rather fond of the look…more than the previous rocket mount.  One thing  I didn’t realize is that the mount is actually like Vial of The Sands in that it turns you into the mount, which of course a friendly player can then ride.  I just presumed it to be a double saddle.  That was a rather pleasant surprise (though I can just imagine Tum when I planned on mounting the Nightwing and he turned into it instead.  Heh).

Speaking of Recruit-A-Friend, if you hadn’t noticed on the launcher, the Blizzard Store is once again selling the Battle Chest for five dollars.  This means you can acquire Nightwing once again for just five dollars.  There are simply two things to remember, though.  One is you need to refer the friend before you activate an account (and then subsequently add the Battle Chest).  If you don’t, the good news is you can contact Blizzard and they’ll usually sort it out for you once you explain the mistake.  Also, you don’t receive the mount until the recruited account completes it’s second month (rather than just pay for it).  So if you did everything today and immediately paid for a month on the new account (on top of the month that comes with the Battle Chest) you wouldn’t get the mount immediately.  You would have to wait until December 29th when the account reaches two active months.
