The night sky was bright and Tumunzahar gazed at the constellations over Dun Morogh, wondering what new stars he would see in Pandaria. That is, if he could even see the sky. He had heard that it rained a lot on the new continent, and in other parts, the sky was obscured by oppressive black clouds, looming like an aura of doom.
A soft cough brought him out of his reverie. He blinked and look toward the source of the sound and his eyes opened wide as he met the gaze of a Wolvar, lips upturned in what could be a smile, yet it was equally possible it could be a sneer. The Wolvar held his arms up to show he was unarmed and then slowly extended a note to Tum, who took it hesitantly, and then thanked the Wolvar with a solemn, yet suspicious nod. With a flourishing bow, surprisingly graceful for a lupine, he turned on his tail and melded into the darkness of the snow covered trees.
Tum channelled a holy spell, the healing glow from his hands giving off enough lifht for him to be able to read the message, which was written in pidgin Common.
“I hear you going to Pandaria. I always repay my debt. Speak to Landro Longshot in Booty Bay, I have left him instruction for you. Show him this note. A.V & son.”
Tum stared in bewilderment at the message – what in Azeroth did that mean? What debt? Who was AV and son? Booty bay was a pirate town that was busier at night than during the day, and curiosity got the better of Tum, as he resolutely got to his feet and ran his hands over the feathers of his Gryphon, who opened one eye lazily.
“I’m sorry, my friend, I know you want to sleep but I have a task to run.”
The gryphon let out an soft sleepy squawk, and yawned, stretching her wings as she slowly got to her feet. She gave Tum a baleful glare, as he mounted up and she gathered herself to spring into the air.
The flight at night was peaceful, and the bright lights of Booty Bay could be seen across the whole of Stranglethorn Vale. The noise also carried a fair distance into the night and the raucous goblin laughter grated on Tumunzahar’s ears. He gritted his teeth and found Landro drinking and talking loudly in a nasal voice that Tum found grated on his nerves. As he approached, Landro’s guards became more alert, and Landro turned to face him.
“Yo!” said Landro, leaning back against a crate, his drink in his hand. “What can I do for you dwarf?”
Wordlessly, Tum handed the note to Landro. Landro read it and smiled. “Ah yes, I remember. I have it right here for you.” He handed a container to Tum, grinned, and turned back to his drink and his conversation with his bodyguards.
Tum opened the box and nearly dropped it when he saw an eye looking back at him… The eye floated out of the box and did a little spin.
Tumunzuhar was astonished. An Eye of Legion. Now what would he do with one of those?
Special thanks to Arvash and Navimie for the lovely pet and accompanying story. They sent me this last week, about the time I posted there was another gift coming…just that amidst things I never picked up the pet, or took the screenshot, until the weekend.

What a lovely … disembodied eye! I’ll bet he’s a fighter. And a wonderful story to go with him, you must have been a very good boy this holiday season, and Santa Arv and Santa Navi knew it!
Nah, I was totally naughty. Pretty sure Navi can confirm this.
…wait, something about that came out wrong….
O RLY? LOL!
Oh I love how you even have him looking surprised! What a great shot! And I hope it’s not too scary for ya.
There’s worse critters roamin’ around in my mind.
That’s such a great screenshot! Congrats on your fun new pet!
And you on your mount.
(though I’ll be talking about it soon, I promise!)
Glad you liked the pet and story! =)
Very much so, good sir. Very much so.
