It’s that time once again…I’ve cooked up another Transmogrification contest, and as some keeners figured out a little while back I will be giving away a Cinder Kitten code to the winner. So how’s it work this time? Glad you asked.
- The contest will consist of four rounds if there are less than 20 people and five rounds if there are more.
- Each round, I will select the outfit that I liked the best and felt best met the challenge for said round.
- That person will receive immunity for the round. All remaining contestants are fair game for elimination -which will be done completely at random.
- After the rounds have completed, there will be two participants remaining.
- Yes, this means at one point one person will be immune and all but one other person will be eliminated in that round.
- The two finalists will submit an outfit for the final challenge, and all of the eliminated contestants will vote for which one they like better.
- Most votes in the final receives the Cinder Kitten.
The number of contestants eliminated each round will be determined after the first round entry deadline has passed. I will then outline eliminations for each round and also showcase the entries. Speaking of which, please e-mail me a screenshot (arcanewordsmith@gmail.com) with the subject Transmog Contest (it just makes it much easier for me when sorting through my daily mail). As usual, I will accept ModelViewer, MogIt, and in game screenshots. Also, submitted outfit needs to be a possible endgame transmogrification. That means no Panda’s in Druid Tier gear or a Hunter wearing a cloth belt. Contestants are free to post their entry on their blog, save for the final round. I do not want the voters to know who is who and turn it into a popularity contest.
Any further questions? If so, ask away. Otherwise you have until January 8th to get your entry in. For the first round, since I’m giving away a cat pet, I want participants to design a Disciple of Har’koa. Not the funky folk that have her chained, but use her as inspiration for your toon were that it were a follower of said Spirit.

MY SIGN UP! LET ME SHOW YOU IT!
Madame, you are like lightning….
Heeee, and my entry is already in. AND SOON WILL BE ON MY BLOG!
So that’s what you had planned. Look forward to seeing all the entires
Yeah, I went creative yet simple…nothing like a little Roulette to shake things up.
I’m excited that this isn’t just some regular ol’ transmog contest, but an AMAZING one!!! Just like you!!!
Flattery will get you everywhere, lol.
Can’t wait to see! Hmm, I should take a visit to see those Disciples of Har’koa up close and personal.
Excellent. Though having said that, I think I’ll tweak the post.
Oh good, tweak makes it better!
Ooh, I’ve been looking for some transmog inspiration. Another awesome contest is just the thing I needed. Looking forward to seeing all the entries!
Sounds like a lot of fun!
Yay! I’ve finally managed to learn about a T-mog contest before it’s over! /happy dance
Now, which toon do I play dress-up with???? The agony of altoholicism…
My army feels your pain.
Oooh, sounds fun! I’ve been needing some mog inspiration lately.
I need to check my reading comprehension big time, but is there a theme besides surviving each round?
Eh, the tie in was that the eliminated players will vote for the winner rather than me.
So, it’s hard core mode? No alliances, no care packages, all hunger games and mockinjay mode? All righty then!
Nah, I don’t have the time to get THAT creative…
I am going to be different and use ONE toon for all my mogs! Yep you guessed it, that would be my one and only toon!
How is that different?
Lol. I made a new toon just for this mog. I decided enough with the females I’m making a mog for a male troll.
I am intrigued.
oooooooOOOOOOOOOooooo – full of moggly goodness!
I just thought of a question! Did you want just one view or more than one? A specific view or one we think best represents our creation?
That’s up to you. When I post them on the blog I will only be including one shot but if you think there’s aspects you need more than one angle to show properly, so be it.
I already have a Cinder Kitten, but that’s not going to stop me from playing! XD
This is going to be such a cool contest. I wish I had the 1) imagination and 2) t-mog “know how” to pull something like that off.
What is the time limit on the entries?
First round has to be in by the 8th. Expect the usual one week time frames.
Oeh, this sounds cool, I love playing with transmog thingies
Do you mind if my entry has two views squished into one image?
That’s quite alright.
I’m so glad I read this post! I’ve been attempting to transmog gear but found it very hard to think of appropriate gear (i.e. style, colour etc) that I’d seen to match together. Then I read this and discover MogIt!!! It’s brilliant. Hopefully, this will be my first transmog contest
Just one quick question – does gear that’s not visible (i.e. bracers) need to be mogged to fit the theme? And if not, does this extend to non-visible helms? Thanks.
Nope, if it’s not visible it isn’t necessary (so bracers aren’t necessary, nor are cloaks or helms if you choose not to use them).
And MogIt is the Devil’s Playground for awesome!
Ooh just when I think it’s safe to emerge, another contest appears!
(Must avoid the desire to create SnowGnomes).
There’s nothing wrong with Snowgnomes! Squashed gnomes in the snow are my favourites! Especially ones with hoofprints on them
I prefer ensuring Blood Elves are just that…
Heh.
I just want to double check, it’s okey to make a blog post about this first outfit?
Absolutely. Finals are the only time that’s a no-no.
JD is there any theme for the first entry submission? Other than it has to be an endgame tmog? So it will be in the flavor or MoP outfits? Thanks!
Yep, Disciple of Har’koa.
Ugh, how’d I miss that?
No coffee make Amijade…something…something…
