Patch 3.2 can be downloaded as you’re reading this. Really, if you didn’t stop reading this long enough to download said patch…well, you’re a better person than I am.
Just to recap, land mount comes at 20 now and its epic cousin rolls out at 40. Flight comes at 60 and you can even get Cold Weather Flying as an heirloom item (1k in gold, thank you). Fireflint and Tumunzahar have a date with Shadowmoon Valley now.
I stand by my take on the situation a few posts back, but at the same time this continues Blizzard’s growing trend of “finish line” vision. They’re doing more and more to get you to the end game as fast as possible and with little difficulty. That’s fine for players who have altitis and find some things to get a bit monotonous. But a much better means of that would be to say “you have an 80 on this server? Tell you what, you may skip up to 40 levels in the creation process.” Yes, that would mean a bunch of people running into Zul Farrak without a damn clue how to play their class, but it wouldn’t put the nerf on the early stuff so much.
