Blizzard made the announcement this week. Cataclysm will arrive on December 7th. That’s two months before the Azeroth we know changes forever. To celebrate the occasion, things have changed around here as you no doubt noticed. A new layout design combined with a new vigor aimed at truly becoming a consistent source of information and entertainment.
As we prepare for Deathwing’s arrival and a subsequent change to the World of Warcraft, there are still things to do in the next few weeks. First and foremost, if you’re fond of mounts you should be in Zul’Gurub three times a week. The level 55 raid has both the raptor and the tiger, and the beautiful thing is that it resets on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. While you’re there, you could conceivably snag a Razzashi Raptor which is one of the elusive non-combat pets. Also, be sure to actually take down Hakkar if you’ve not done so. This raid is no longer going to exist come Cataclysm. The content will apparently be replaced by something else.
Also, while I’m no Loremaster myself, I know a few. Many are glad they’ve attained the status for Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms, because Blizzard has declared it will be more difficult to do after Cataclysm hits. As you well know, with the old world being overhauled, many quests will be removed. If you do not have Loremaster by that point, you will lose those quests as part of your completed total. You won’t have to start over completely, you just may end up having to do an extra 200 quests because ones you did no longer exist.
Those are just a couple things to think about as we await Deathwing’s arrival. Tomorrow we’ll switch our focus to preparation for the expansion.
