You don’t have to thank me for getting that song stuck in your head, but you can thank me for some info that’s somewhat flown under the radar -Cataclysm will go live December 7th, at 12am PST.
This is news I only found out on Wednesday and while most people are content, for me it changes my plans completely. I work until 11:30 at night, so this was the perfect scenario for me as I could grab the expansion on the way home and then hit the ground running when I got in the door…it’s the same strategy I deployed for Wrath of the Lich King. However, the idea of either staying awake for another three hours or napping until 3am is not appealing in either form. Just think, every North American WoW player who buys Cataclysm will be logging on at exactly the same moment. That just screams queues and chaos.
Instead of shooting for a server first in mining or Jewelcrafting, I think I’ll just bring home the Collector’s Edition for my wife…and go to bed. I’ll just get up earlier and delve into things fresh in the morning. What about you? Does this news change how you plan to jump into the new expansion?
