Winter Veil arrived this week and Greatfather Winter provided many of us an array of presents under the Ironforge tree. While the zeppelin toy is soulbound, the pets are not. Namely the two Winter Helpers and the Jingling Bell. Also, if you’ve been playing for a few years or so, you probably have these guys on whatever toons you want. The nice thing is, you can sell them quickly for some gold. But why would you want to?
On average, I see these pets sell on the Auction House for 20-40g. Decent return, right? Sure, but a little patience will double that and then some. Think about it for a moment. You have pets you don’t want and are looking to sell. Well, a few days removed from Winter Veil so is everyone else. Low to moderate demand and moderate to high supply is not the kind of market a seller wants to play. Instead, sit on them for a few months.
Your bank alt should have somewhere to store them, and if not should find a place. In a few months, there will be far less of them out there and believe it or not people will still be looking for them. Many will also pay the new 70-100g price tag because the pets can’t be gotten again until next year’s Winter Veil. Another prime example of patience paying off on the Auction House.
