#WoWScreenshot A Day Feb 01 – “You”

Aday01For people who know me, this might come as a sort of “Tum is me and I am Tum” kind of screenshot.  However that is not what I was aiming for with this particular image to start February’s Screenshot A Day.  No, dear reader, this is me…swimming.

You see, while I’m by no means a great swimmer in the real world that does not stop me in Azeroth.  Any time I can’t get somewhere in particular, I hit the water and go.  The shot above was me in the Krasarang Wilds trying to get to the Dread Wastes.  I hadn’t found any quests at that point, so off I went.

Another favourite was back before Cataclysm when Alliance players did not automatically receive a flight path from Theramore Isle down to Gadgetzan.  I saw that I could circle through Dustwallow Marsh and Thousand Needles before finally getting there, but I dove headfirst into the water and off I went.  I remember in the case of Siori I did it because she was too low to be summoned to Zul’Furrak and wanted the run anyway.  Magik and his friends at the time couldn’t believe I was serious when I said I was swimming there, but they did agree in the end it was probably faster.

So this very much is me.  If I don’t know a way, I will find a way.  And most often, that way involves the nearest body of water.

LOL! I can’t remember where it was but I do remember swimming there. I knew I’d get hopelessly lost if I tried finding my way on land. I feel like it was to Booty Bay from Westfall, way, way back.

That’s impressive. I remember doing a lowbie run from Stormwind to Booty Bay and dying a LOT. I don’t think I ever thought to swim that one.
