#WoWscreenshotaday Feb 06 – “C is for…”

This one was pretty easy today, as “C” is for Caverns of Time!

CoTThis is one of my favourite places in the game, simply because I love the collective dungeons.  I have since I started playing during Burning Crusade.  Culling of Stratholme (the entrance is in the back of the shot) remains my personal favourite, though the concept behind End Time is great as well.  Each tunnel is a huge step into some key moments of lore within Warcraft and to get to play them out as a character is as enticing as it gets.  Someone asked me once why they “stuck the cavern in the middle of nowhere.”  I said Tanaris isn’t the middle of nowhere, it’s a desert.  Where else would you expect the sands of time to be located?  They felt pretty silly as a result.

No need to change your answer at all. Great minds think alike, as it were. Even if the screenshots are close to the same, who cares? We just happened to choose the same “C” theme. 🙂

    Great shot!

I’ve also liked Caverns of Time since I first encountered it. My favorite dungeon in there, however, has always been Black Morass. Yeah, that place was a pain in the butt back in the day…but it was still a fun run. I think the toughest part was trying to skin all the dead mobs between the portal spawns.

Nothing wrong with Black Morass. I really enjoy all of them, Stratholme just sticks out a bit more for me. BM was a bit of a pain, but if you had a group that could communicate you tended to do alright. To this day there is still great transmog gear in there.

Middle of nowhere? The beaches of Tanaris are one of my favorite vacation spots!

Lol, Tome. You get the point.

Besides, Cataclysm changed some of those beaches dramatically. 😉
